Our walking tours kick off at Post Office Square Park, located at 270 Queen Street, Brisbane. Here's how to find us: Head to 260 Queen Street and look for the "Queen Street bus stop 57" as a reference. Spot the Westpac Bank building with the big red 'W' in front of you. Walk to the grassy area on the right side of the building (just 5-10 steps away). You'll find your guide there, near the McDonald's 'Big M', holding an 'Urban Tours' bag. Easy to spot and ready to go!
For taxi or ride share, just enter 260 Queen Street as your destination—it'll drop you right next to the park! If you're taking public transport, Central Station is the closest train station, just a five-minute walk to Post Office Square Park. For parking, Secure Parking under Post Office Square Park starts from $10, and Wilson Parking nearby starts from $9 at 140 Elizabeth Street, about a five-minute walk away. Easy peasy!
For a walking tour, comfort is key! We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing and sturdy shoes that are suitable for walking long distances. Opt for weather-appropriate attire—light layers in warm weather, or warm clothing in cooler conditions. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen for sun protection, or an umbrella and rain gear if the forecast calls for showers.
And, of course, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
The amount of walking depends on the tour you pick! Our 'Best of Brisbane Walking Tour' covers about 6.5 kilometers (4 miles) and takes you through a variety of city highlights. Looking for something shorter? The 'Brisbane City Walking Tour' is a relaxed option at just 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). Both are designed to be fun and manageable for most fitness levels!
