Our Story
Urban Tours Brisbane began in 2021, founded by Guy Watson, a passionate local with a background in travel and a desire to offer something different. Originally launched as Brisbane Street Games during COVID lockdowns, the business was born from creativity and resilience, offering interactive scavenger hunts that encouraged people to rediscover their city.
By 2023, the business evolved into full-time touring as demand grew for small-group walking tours, cycle adventures, and guided bus experiences. Today, Urban Tours Brisbane is known for its intimate group sizes, warm hospitality, and uniquely local insights.
We’re not just telling stories - we’re showing you how Brisbane feels, from its riverbanks and street art to its hidden laneways and hilltop views.
What we offer
Our tours are designed for visitors who have a passion for discovery and genuinely engaging with a place, including first-time visitors and many who haven’t seen Brisbane in 20 years or more. Our guests often tell us they want to understand the city’s lifestyle, its transformation, and its history, and we love helping them do just that.

Founder of Urban Tours Brisbane, Guy brings a wealth of experience from his years in the travel industry and a lifetime of exploring. With roots in the United Kingdom and a global traveller’s perspective, Guy is passionate about helping people connect with Brisbane in a way that feels fresh, fun, and personal.
He’s a big-picture thinker, a calculated risk taker, and a strong believer in making tourism meaningful. Whether designing a new tour route or spinning a wheel at trade events to raise money for local causes, Guy leads with heart and purpose.
Cheryl Robinson
Experience Manager & Brisbane Tour Guide
Cheryl moved to Brisbane in 2012 and quickly fell in love with its culture, cuisine, and community. A vibrant and enthusiastic storyteller, Cheryl blends her love of history with her passion for food and drink, bringing flavour to every tour. She’s always on the hunt for the city’s best cocktails and restaurants, making her tours a true taste of modern Brisbane.

Do you run every day? – Monday to Saturday (we have Sundays off)

Is there a minimum group size? – No minimum numbers on our guided tours

Do you cater for people with a disability? - We don’t have wheelchair facilities on our minibus, however we will do our very best to accommodate and include people with disabilities and specific needs. Please speak with us when you are making your booking so that we can tailor your experience to your needs.
